DairyLIMS is a web-based system. The LIMS data and software are located off-site on a web server and the laboratory staff operate the LIMS through their web browsers.

The web server can either be the company’s own server which the laboratory would access across the company’s own private network, or the LIMS can be hosted on our DairyLIMS server.

This web-based approach enables multiple PCs in the same laboratory or multiple laboratories in the same company to all work together on the same data.

The DairyLIMS data entry screens are based on the traditional spreadsheet layout. When configuring the system, the laboratory can specify the Headings, Width, Units, Decimal Places etc for each column.

These data entry screens also embody all of the functions that are expected in a modern laboratory such as comparing results to specifications, automatic calculation of results, full audit Trail and exporting data to Excel.
